thermal expansion analysis

pushrod displacement detector

Change of a sample after heated is passed through a quartz glass detector to a differential transformer, and then a sensor inside the transformer moves to show output fluctuation, which is calculated as expansion / contraction of the sample.

expansion rate

temperature range atmosphere sample size, shape
room temperature〜1000℃ innert gas φ3~10㎜× length 10〜50㎜
*Consult us about shape.

suitable for this measurement:Thermodilatometer DLY-9000 series

laser interferometry

A method to quantify thermal expansion by measuring expansion change of a sample caused by temperature change, which is regarded as amount of stripe’s movement by two beam interference. (double optical path Michelson interferometer)

expansion rate (fixed sample)

temperature range atmosphere sample size, shape
-150〜200℃ low pressure helium gastd φ6㎜× length 12㎜ (bullet-shape)
room temperature〜700℃ vacuum

expansion rate (film sample)

temperature range atmosphere sample size, shape
-150〜200℃ low pressure helium gas φ or square 7㎜
thickness 50μm〜1㎜
room temperature〜700℃ vacuum

expansion rate (precision measurement)

temperature range atmosphere sample size, shape
0〜200℃ Cyclic low pressure helium gas

suitable for this measurement:Thermal Expansion Measurement System by Laser Interferometer LIX-2 series

expansion rate (precision measurement)

temperature range atmosphere sample size, shape
standard type 0~50℃
(highly precise isothermal circulation system adopted)
low-pressure helium φ5 or □5±0.5mm x length 12~20mm
Both ends of a sample(length direction) are spherical surface.
(Processing of spherical surface can be available at an extra cost.)
